My name is Allen Grant and I own the Lola GT Mk6 Prototype that was the star of the 1963 London Racing Car Show. I bought it in 1965 while in Europe driving for Carroll Shelby.
In its original Lola GT form, the steel pontoon carried multi-tubular extension frames, one at the front to accommodate the suspension and another as a superstructure to support the fiberglass body panels.

While the Lola GT met with limited success, its design was sold to Ford and formed the basis for that company's Ferrari-crushing GT40.
